Aims and Fit of Module

This module aims to help students develop analytics skills to conduct descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analysis for accounting information. This module will also provide students hands-on experience with the whole data analytics process. By the end of the module, students should understand how to apply data analytics techniques to various accounting subjects that they have learned in year 2 and year 3.

Learning outcomes

Method of teaching and learning

This module will be delivered by a series of lab sessions. Each lab session will incorporate theory induction, demonstrations of the data analytics techniques, and followed by lab tasks for students to practice the techniques through various data sets.
