Aims and Fit of Module
Epidemiology is the branch of medicine that deals with the incidence, distribution, and possible control of diseases and other factors relating to health. Evidence-based medicine is the process of systematically reviewing, appraising, and using clinical research findings to aid the delivery of optimum clinical care to patients. It is the largest area where biostatistics applies in medicine.
The aim of this module is to provide students an opportunity to gain sufficient knowledge and practical skills on epidemiology and evidence-based medicine.
