Aims and Fit of Module

This module aims to introduce the student to the statistical software (SAS), and develop student programming and statistical computing skills. It focuses on using SAS to manipulate data, perform statistical analysis, and create reports.

Learning outcomes

A	Manipulate data sets including as  entering, reading, writing, and importing Data, preparing data for analysis
B	Produce descriptive statistics with graphics  
C	Conduct statistical analysis and produce reports. 

Method of teaching and learning

The module is delivered through a combination of lectures and tutorials over a period of 13 weeks. In lectures, students are introduced to the core principles, major methodology, and common topics and issues in the area of statistical computing. Tutorials are given as a platform to address any specific question or issue from individual students.
