Aims and Fit of Module

The aims of this module are: help students develop basic engineering skills, such as technical communication skills for both written and oral presentations; computing and programming skills using software; problem solving skills.

Learning outcomes

A. Understand basic aspects of data analysis.

B. Demonstrate elementary programming skills using a scripting language.

C. Demonstrate oral and written technical communication skills by using MS Office software and reference management software.

Method of teaching and learning

Interactive lectures, virtual laboratory experiments, software demonstrations, training tutorials, hands-on practice, Peer-to-Peer(P2P) discussion, P2P review and continuous assessments.
