Aims and Fit of Module

The aim of this course is to develop understanding of the foundations of polymeric materials.

Learning outcomes

A. Understand the polymer structure, ideal and real chain statistics
B. Understand polymer solutions, melts and rubber networks.
C. Discuss the influence of molecular and micro structure on the properties of polymers
D. Understand the dynamics and rheological behaviors of polymer materials
E. Discuss the different methods available for characterizing polymer properties
