Aims and Fit of Module
The module introduces students to the practical skills in producing creative nonfiction videos. It will guide students through the art and craft of visual storytelling, drawing on narrative theories and video production techniques. Students will be taught how to choose and research a topic, structure, capture and present compelling human-interest stories through the medium of video. They will sharpen their video production skills by developing, writing, pitching, directing, filming and editing a creative nonfiction video. The module builds upon and develops methods, theories and techniques taught in the previous production modules of the programme. It also complements the other theory-based modules the department offers to Y4 students in the final semester.
