Aims and Fit of Module

This module allows the student to develop a programme idea within a number of Television genres including live TV Studio.
Students will research, develop and deliver a programme idea that can be developed further through the subsequent levels of their programme of study. The idea will be developed and pitched to a panel for consideration

Learning outcomes

A. Develop and research programme content that is appropriate to a given commissioning outline.

B. Present a programme idea in a pitch presentation

C. Critically reflect on the development of their content and how the nature of that content will appeal to audiences

Method of teaching and learning

Students will learn to develop, research and plan programme content in the seminar sessions.  

They will look at case studies and development formats within lectures.
