Aims and Fit of Module
This module is designed to allow the student to:
work on a collaborative project with students from other disciplines within the university, or with external partners.
manage their relationship between project partner(s) and client(s).
negotiate a senior role within a collaborative project and cement their knowledge of filmmaking craft by completing a project using a high skills base.
work to advanced safe and healthy practices.
reflect on their role within the project and offer a clear and concise evaluation of their skills.
Learning outcomes
A Demonstrate a professional level of technical competence in a specialist area to realise a short project.
B Demonstrate the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively whilst managing their own and others’ time within a project based environment.
C Deliver an advanced level of creative output in a specialist role to allow the completion of a short project.
D Effectively synthesize ideas to generate solutions within a collaborative environment.
E Critically evaluate practice by placing it in a reflective framework.
Method of teaching and learning
The teaching sessions are divided into two components (Lectures and mentoring).
A short series of lectures will provide the understanding of collaboration and project management.
Tutorials will focus on project management, creative decision making.
Seminars will focus on reviewing work in progress.
