Aims and Fit of Module

Aims:
This module will take the research proposal developed in FTA440 forward to the execution stage. It commences at the beginning of the final semester. At this stage of the proposed
project, this module allows students to implement the project idea through to final delivery. 

Objectives:
Students can produce an individual or collaborative creative project either self-generated or client-based. The content will vary from student to student and will mainly make use of the subject knowledge covered in the learning pathway though may cross-over disciplines.

Learning outcomes

A	Apply critically the research methods and appropriate tools such as project breakdowns, budgeting and scheduling when working on a collaborative or individual basis on a creative project
B	Demonstrate a critical awareness of audience when choosing project ideas
C	Demonstrate autonomous project management skills and organise professionally all project elements within an agreed timescale
D	Evaluate and contextulalise critically their creative design work within appropriate theoretical contexts

Method of teaching and learning

The module is research-driven and practice-based in terms of developing a tangible creative outcome. Students will work independently or within a group in case of a collaborative project and will be mentored by staff throughout the project process. Through tutorials and seminar presentations the students will demonstrate the progress of their work.
