Aims and Fit of Module

Aims:
This module aims to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills
to draw up a pressing/release plan for taking ideally the Master project
outcome forward into the industries.
Objectives:
The students will focus on communicating effectively, both in traditional
approach like writing and in presentations; and innovative approaches that
utilise information technologies like Social Media, Podcasting, AI, Live
Video and Newsjacking, to potential audience and market. At the end of the
semester, in addition to documenting the distribution plan, students will
also present their individual or collaborative work at the graduate
exhibition along with their research outcome to the panel within a
professional environment. The panel may consist of potential stakeholders,
partners, and target audience.

Learning outcomes

A	Comprehend critically the theories and concepts of pressing and release.
B	Devise an original business plan/proposal of a pressing/release event for their Master project.
C	Develop critically the awareness of the innovative aspects of media and marketing and how these aspects have the potential to reach more audiences.

Method of teaching and learning

The module will be delivered through mainly formal lectures and seminar group discussions.
