Aims and Fit of Module
Aims:
This module is designed to introduce students with a diverse range of techniques applied in the creative industries within a project-led environment. This module aims to encourage creative actions in students, focuses on a variety of aspects of creativity, including techniques for idea generation, methods of re-framing problems and practical skills in application. By the end of the module, students will be better equipped to conceptualise creative experiences in a given context that are enhanced by creative techniques and have the to communicate the technical requirements for realising through practices/projects.
Objectives:
Students will develop a creative project, the content of which will primarily draw upon the techniques taught throughout the module. Students will gain a broader insight into the creative industry and its divisions and will equip with the ability and skills to generate creative projects individually or through group work.

Method of teaching and learning
The teaching sessions are divided into three components (lectures, seminars and lab/practicals). Lectures will be designed to provide essential information, knowledge, and theories in creative industry. Seminars will be based on the case studies and projects. Lab/Practicals will provide the opportunities of practical exercise for students, enable them to communicate and evolve their creative work effectively.
