Aims and Fit of Module

This module aims to give students a sound grounding in research methods at the level necessary to facilitate their undertaking of a research project to meet the requirements of the BUS457 International Business Dissertation module and allow them to use and evaluate research methods in a business environment. Students will understand fundamental issues and methodological tools underlying empirical inquiry in International Business with a view to applying these methods in their projects, including their Master’s dissertation.

Method of teaching and learning

The module will be informed by interactive and application-oriented teaching methods. It will consist of lectures, seminars for learning how to apply quantitative and qualitative research methods with the assistance of software and independent study and research.
