Aims and Fit of Module
This module provides students with an understanding of project management, its principles and practices in contemporary project environments, and an understanding of how it contributes to improving organizational performance.
Learning outcomes
A Establish a critical understanding of project-management components, processes, strategies, and methodologies.
B Understand stakeholders' interests and adopt appropriate strategies to manage the stakeholders' expectations in a project context.
C Understand and apply various risk-management approaches, risk-evaluation techniques, and contingency planning.
D Apply project management framework to analyze the gains and losses on typical projects, and reflect how project deliverables contribute to or hurt organizational performance.
Method of teaching and learning
Teaching and learning activities employ case-based and peer-assisted approaches. Seminars with various project management topics will be shared and discussed to enhance the understanding of project management.
