Aims and Fit of Module
This module is concerned with the intimate relationship between language and society. It serves as the introduction to the field of sociolinguistics. Exploring such a relationship is integral to the learning outcomes of the programmes for which this module is designed.
Learning outcomes
A. Demonstrate the capacity to describe a wide range of linguistic, social and sociolinguistic concepts.
