Aims and Fit of Module
To provide students with an understanding of the role, facets and operation of performance management (PM) within organizations, and to appreciate the links between PM and organizational and human resources (HR) strategy.
Learning outcomes
Student completing the module successfully should be able to:
A) Analyze the linkages between performance management and organizational and HR strategy.
B) Understand and critically analyze the reasons for performance management
C) Critically evaluate the processes and challenges associated with designing, implementing and managing performance management systems within organizations.
D) Appreciate the competencies associated with effective performance management interviewing.
E) Understand the linkages between performance management and other key HR processes.
