Aims and Fit of Module
This module teaches IMBA students how to analyse strategic organisational challenges and make evidence-based recommendations within an international context.
The essence of strategy is in successfully achieving the appropriate fit between resources and environment, especially in the long-term; whilst being cognizant of the potential threats from disruptive change, whether they be triggered by technological, commercial, political, physical or other causes.
The module draws on academic theories and established approaches in the area of strategy and applies them to practical cases. IMBA students are encouraged to bring their own experience to the classroom and discuss how ideas from the strategy field can be applied to their own businesses.
