Aims and Fit of Module

This is an optional module for the IMBA programme. The module will introduce you to concepts of corporate responsibility and business ethics and their importance for contemporary business. It investigates the relationship between organisations and their stakeholder groups, and the main responsibilities that a corporation holds towards different stakeholders, as well as how ethical issues influence corporate reputation and long-term performance.

Learning outcomes

A. Understand the main theories of corporate responsibility and business ethics.
B. Analyse the impact of corporate responsibility and business ethics issues on stakeholder relationships and business performance.
C. Assess the wider influence of corporate responsibility and business ethics on corporate reputation and the relationship between business and society.
D. Reflect on the role of responsible and ethical leadership in organisations.
