Aims and Fit of Module

This ALA module aims to provide more focused support to students on furthering their employability development. As we have students with some prior work experience such as employment, internships or project work before joining an IBSS MSc programme, this module will benefit these students to enhance their employability development. Through facilitating students’ reflection on their work experience, students can have an enhanced understanding of their competence, make improvements to their employability development plan, and develop an awareness of the value of lifelong learning for their continuous employability development. This module is highly practical and interactive overarched by the concept of student employability development in HEIs.

Learning outcomes

A	Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of employability development on career development through work experience such as employment, internship or project work. 

B	Demonstrate the formation ofa good plan for future career development.

C	Develop an awareness of the value of lifelong learning to continuous employability development.

Method of teaching and learning

Online and/or on-site seminars will be arranged. In-session activities will integrate students’ industrial experience into the session delivery design.
