. To introduce the environment in which e-commerce takes place, the main technologies for supporting e-commerce, and how these technologies fit together;
. To introduce the technologies that support ecommerce solution’s maintenance and run.
. To introduce ecommerce marketing technologies.
. To introduce ecommerce social issues including security, privacy and ethics.
A. Demonstrate ability of using various technologies to provide users specific e-commerce solution.
B. Illustrate ability to identify maintenance and running issues and cost for an ecommerce solution
C. Demonstrate clear awareness of technology and social issues and be able to provide feasible measures.
D. Demonstrate the ability to use new technologies to promote and market e-commerce solution.
Students will be expected to attend two hours of formal lectures, one hour of supervised practical classes/tutorials in a typical week. In addition, students will be expected to devote one hour of unsupervised lab time for each week and two hours to do lab practise for reflection and consideration of lecture material and background reading.
