Enlarge students’ knowledge range; help students form objective and rational attitude toward China and the world at large.

Learning outcomes

 A. Understand the history and conditions of the country, deeply understand the history and how the people chose Marxism , the Chinese Communist Party , the socialist road , and the reform and opening up.
B. Establish a correct view of history, use scientific view of history and methodology to analyze and evaluate historical issues.
C. Develop an ability to write short critical essay to evaluate historic issues.
