Aims and Fit of Module
Learning outcomes
Students completing the module successfully should:
A. solve basic physics problems with proper math tools;
B. better understand the underlying physics principles for modern chemistry;
C. tackle the chemistry problems using basic concepts in classical mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetics, optics, electronics, and modern physics.
Method of teaching and learning
Students are expected to attend two lectures (total of four hours) per week, plus workshops for problem solving and possible demos.
Students are expected to use web-learning system (Mastering system provided by Pearson Publisher) to improve problem-solving skills.
