Learning outcomes

A	critically discuss the importance of analytical chemistry in a wide range of application areas 

B	demonstrate good understanding of the background theories of analytical techniques covered

C	demonstrate good understanding of the theories behind instrumental configuration and the data collection mechanisms

D	appreciate the differences between ‘limitations of technique’ and ‘machine limitation’

E	critically interpret data using graphical/numerical and statistical techniques
