Aims
This module aims to introduce students to the planning and management of events and festivals. The highly interdisciplinary course addresses the systems, tools and checklists necessary for successful event management.
Learning outcomes 
A. Outline the process of event design within the context of a given brief

B. Present a plan that incorporates the key elements of event management (including, goals, mission, funding, promotion, visitor interaction)

C. Interpret information to give a short presentation outlining their event
Method of teaching and learning 
The teaching sessions are divided into two components (Lectures and seminars).


Lectures will focus on case studies of events incorporating a number of media platforms.


Seminars will focus on the generation and articulation of event ideas and their potential planning difficulties.
