Module Title Methods for Analysing Public Health V: Biostatistics II
Module Level Level 1
Module Credits 5.00

Aims and Fit of Module

The aim of this module is to guide students in the theory and techniques of regression. Students will learn how to specify regression models, use statistical software to fit models, interpret coefficients and investigate model design. Students will learn special techniques in modeling including dummy varianbles and multivariable adjustment.

Learning outcomes

A	Demonstrate the concepts of regression and their applications in public health
B Construct regression models appropriate to the demands of a given public health context.
C Demonstrate accurate and effective interpretation of analysis from regression models
D Demonstrate familiarity with the use of a modern statistical software package for building and testing statistical models.

Method of teaching and learning

This module will be delivered through lectures and seminars.
