Aims and Fit of Module

This course aims to provide the student with a foundational understanding of the causes and  approaches to controlling environmental health issues.

Learning outcomes

A	Describe the normal cycles of ecosystems.
B Differentiate between the major sources and types of environmental pollution.
C Examine how pollutants interact with the human body.
D Appraise environmental risk assessment and risk management processes.
E Assess the role of legislation and regulation regarding environmental issues.
F Analyse how environmental health programs are developed, managed and evaluated.
