Aims and Fit of Module

The aim of this module is to introduce students to the basic principles of human growth and development from the prenatal period through senescence using a longitudinal, lifespan approach.

Learning outcomes

A	Formulate a basic understanding of the human life course and human development and their relationship to the health of populations.

B	Organise linkages between growth & development, health needs, and the health care system.

C	Critically appraise the effectiveness of health care systems to address and manage the particular life stage health needs of a population.
