Aims and Fit of Module

The aims of this module are to:
• Provide students with the opportunity to practice knowledge, technical skills, intellectual skills, and interpersonal skills in a TNE/Global education environment.
• Enable students to critique existing education wisdom in a real work situation.

Learning outcomes

A.	Demonstrate the ability to link theory to educational practice, showing how theory informs practice, and the impact on individual development. 
B. Indicate a critical understanding of the educational organization in which the placement is completed
C. Develop key individual skills, including team-working, problem-solving and analytical skills

Method of teaching and learning

With this module, students will intern in an international-oriented educational organization approved by the Department. During the internship, students learn to use their skills and knowledge that have previously been studied in the program, or are being studied.
Students will have a first week of lectures and seminars to prepare for the internship, which will take place in weeks 2-14.
The department will be responsible for finding the internship at a suitable educational organization. Part-time students can undertake their internship in their normal place of work where relevant.
Students will be visited at least once by the module tutor whilst on internship.
