Aims and Fit of Module

The aims of this module are to:

•	Develop understanding of the impact that globalization has on the student experience

•	Highlight the complexity of managing the student experience in the international university

•	Analyze approaches to internationalization and the need for comprehensive approaches to the student experience

Learning outcomes

A.	Critically assess the international student experience, identifying key issues in the student journey 

B.	Evaluate the impact that the curriculum has on the international student experience

C.	Understand the complexities of managing expectations of students and staff in international education

D.	Critically assess education policy in relation to international student experiences

Method of teaching and learning

The teaching sessions are interactive and divided into two components: lectures and tutorials/workshops. The tutorials/workshops will build on the material covered in the lectures.


The e-portfolio assessment allows for innovation in its collection of mini-assessments which make up the portfolio, including expanding wider participation through a conference-style assessment.
