Aims and Fit of Module
• To enhance student understanding of the principles of research and their application;
• To equip students with the principles concerning research design, data collection, data analysis, and research ethics in applied linguistics and related fields
• To prepare students for the design and writing of a 15000-word dissertation.

Method of teaching and learning
The teaching sessions are divided into two components: lectures and tutorials/workshops.
