Aims and Fit of Module

The module introduces students to the practical operations of TV Studio production. Working in groups, students will learn to crew a simple TV Studio shoot including a presenter and an interview. Understanding the different roles a crew must fulfil and taking on those roles in the execution of a live TV Studio practical project recording, students will work both ‘on the floor’ of the studio and in the control room, learning about each of the roles from camera and sound recording, through studio Floor Manager, through to vision mixing and directing.
