Aims and Fit of Module

This module aims to provide students with a rich understanding of core concepts, principles and theories in organisational management regarding the use of the relevant sources. Students will learn about how an understanding of management can contribute to an organization’s success. The module provides students with a comprehensive education and training in fundamental managerial techniques, procedures and practices needed for the effective management of organisations and their sources. In so doing, this module prepares students for graduate careers in relevant industries, and builds the potential for students to quickly rise to management positions.

Learning outcomes

A.Identify the fundamental concepts, principles, and theories of organizational management that are applicable to particular organizations as work places.
B.Identify how relevant concepts, principlies and theories of organizational management can be applied to analyse and solve real-world problems in the workplaces.
C.Assess the sources and the uses of sources for organizational management such as planning, control and operation, and decision-making.
D.Demonstrate skills in reflection on the relationship between theory and professional practice.
