Aims and Fit of Module

This module is designed to provide students with the knowledge and expertise needed to undertake managerial roles in companies involved with logistics and operations management on a national and international basis.

Learning outcomes

A	Analyse contemporary real life examples and scenarios in logistics management.
B Identify and apply relevant data in logistic enterprise practice.
C Define imaginative and independent solutions to logistics-related problems that are rooted in evidence.
D Interpret relevant operational information to support the writing of project reports and business cases in logistics management.

Method of teaching and learning

The module involves a range of teaching strategies including lectures, seminars and case study analysis. Independent research and study will be encouraged throughout to complement classroom teaching. Student-led case analysis will facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences of cohort members. Additional material will be in the form of web-based reading and research, selected texts, and contemporary magazine and press articles.
