Aims
This course educates students in methods for designing high-quality, lower-cost products through considerations of performance, quality, and cost.
Learning outcomes 

A. Critically assess the role of robust design techniques within the context of a product development process

B. Construct and develop experiments or simulations to study the effects of control and noise factors on product performance

C. Analyse the results of robust design experiments or simulations

D. Evaluate the effects of setting parameter values and tolerances on performance and cost and set rational tolerances
