Aims and Fit of Module

In this module students learn to understand and apply basic research methods in International Relations. Taking into account the breadth of the field, the module will introduce a number of approaches to research design, as well as qualitative and quantitative methods. With a view to their Final Year Project (FYP), students will design their own research proposal, coherently combining research question, research design, theory and methods. The module will also introduce students to research ethics.
