Aims
This module aims to provide students with a knowledge and understanding of the theoretical and practice related concepts in project leadership and governance and develop relevant skills for the successful delivery of projects. Students will learn the key differences in characteristics and governance of projects, programs and portfolios. They will develop understanding of how integrated project governance is implemented and how leadership contributes to effective governance of projects. The students will learn fundamental concepts in project leadership with a particular focus on developing leadership skills for managing projects of today and in the future. In addition, the module will also prepare students in the leadership of virtual projects and the competencies needed for leading such projects.
Learning outcomes 
A. Systematically and critically evaluate leadership fundamental theories and models

B. Cultivate a sense of self-awareness through identifying a leadership vision, mission, style and values

C. Define, explain and illustrate the core principles of project leadership and the way project leadership differs from other types of leadership;

D. Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the various characteristics of leadership and the leadership skills needed for projects dealing with change;

E. Interpret, critically evaluate and explain the fundamental concepts and theoretical frameworks of project governance;

Method of teaching and learning
