Students understand the risk and insurance, measure risk and insurance coverage for insurance contracts. Students are also required to understand insurance market and functions and to analyze insurance coverage for property and life insurance contracts.

Method of teaching and learning 
This module is delivered through formal lectures and tutorial classes
1. Introduction to risk and its management; Rationale for risk management and organizations.

2. Assessment risk by different criteria: physical assets, financial asset, human assets and legal liability.

3. Risk measurement methods: risk financing techniques I and II and risk management decision methods : data organization and analysis.

4. Introduction to insurance industry, pricing of insurance and insurance regulation and financial assessment.

5. Legal aspects of insurance contracts.

6. Insurance contract analysis: property and liability coverage.

7. Insurance contracts for life and health care insurance.

8. Employee benefit plans.
