Aims
On completion of the module, a student is expected:


1. To be creative in the design and to be able to evaluate results and synthesise knowledge.

2. To provide a theoretical understanding of the design process of mobile robots.
Learning outcomes 
A. Know basic concepts and techniques used within the field of mobile robotics

B. Understand the knowledge on kinematics, sensors, actuators in mobile robot

C. Know the fundamentals of vehicle localization and map building

D. Design and construct simple mobile robot systems
Method of teaching and learning 
Lectures: lectures will be given on theory, programming and simulation in lecture hall.

Seminars: university researchers and industrial experts will be invited to present the frontier progress in mobile robotics theory and applications.
