Aims and Fit of Module

This module aims at providing students with an advanced understanding of the role of effectively rewarding employees in contemporary human resource management. It offers a systematic learning of the reward management concepts and theories, and how remuneration strategies should align with business and organizational objectives. Students will appreciate the importance and complication of the process of planning and implementing reward management systems. This module will equip students with necessary knowledge and tools to understand how firms develop a pay and reward system and factors that help to evaluate the effectiveness of its implementation.

B. Understand key arguments and considerations over developing an effective reward management system.
C. Critically evaluate the development of integrated and effective reward management systems.
D. Apply key concepts and theories to analyzing real issues on reward management at national and international levels.
E. Develop systematic analysis and thinking skills that enable students to draw connections between other issues and reward management
