Aims and Fit of Module

Improve students’ ability to appreciate literature and art; Enlarge students’ range of knowledge and broaden their horizon; develop students’ ability to make reasonable judgments.

Learning outcomes

A. Help students to have a general idea of the development of Chinese literature, influential figures and their representative works
B. Help students improve the ability to understand and appreciate Chinese classic works
C. Help students understand basic media culture theories, principles and methods, and improve their ability to solve real-life problems
D. Help students understand basic characteristics of Chinese media culture against the big global background
E. Help students understand traditional Chinese values through analyzing classic literature works
F. Have a general idea of the differences between Chinese and western cultures
A. 比较系统地掌握中国文学发展的基本轮廓,及诸种文学现象的兴衰变异等情况,了解并掌握各时期的代表作家及作品。
B. 具备对古代文学、当代文学的阅读鉴赏能力和分析评论能力,比较准确地把握其思想内容及基本的艺术特征,写出观点鲜明、文从字顺的学术论文,具备初步的研究问题的能力。
C. 掌握媒介文化基础理论、基本知识和基本方法,提高认识和运用媒介文化的一般规律来解决实际问题的能力。
D. 借鉴西方媒介文化话语来研究中国媒介文化的问题,在全球媒介文化的比较视野中发现中国媒介文化自身的特征。
E. 通过文学经典的阅读与阐释,分析传统文化的现代价值取向,认识当代中国文化冲突和重要的文化思潮,把文化的研究与现实生活相结合,述往事思来者。
F. 采用中西文化比较的视野和方法,领略和理解中国文化的精神面貌,了解西方文化价值体系,培养学生对中西文化鉴别、批判与继承的能力。
