It aims to equip doctoral candidates from diverse disciplinary backgrounds with theoretical frameworks and analytical approaches rooted in Contemporary Chinese Marxism and 21st-century Marxism, enabling them to understand, analyze, and interpret major issues concerning China and the world. As a postgraduate public course with broad thematic coverage, the module emphasises Chinese characteristics, a global perspective, and a strong sense of contemporary responsibility. CCT407 is a compulsory module prescribed by the Ministry of Education for doctoral students. It is delivered via an online MOOC platform as a high-quality course recorded and taught by academic staff from Fudan University. In addition to this module, mainland Chinese doctoral students at XJTLU are required to take either CCT401 or CCT402 as a compulsory elective. For this module, students are required to complete all learning activities within one semester, including: - Viewing and studying all online course videos (with a total duration of approximately 10.5 hours), which account for 40% of the final grade and are assessed according to the proportion completed; - Completing the online quizzes, which serve as the final examination. The system allows two attempts, and the higher score will be counted towards the final grade as a measure of learning effectiveness.
