Aims and Fit of Module

By incorporating demonstration of the AI application through demonstration in each of the programme in Taicang, this will give students a better understanding and insight of AI application in different technologies. Designed with both the International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) and the English Language Centre, it provides an insight into the key Artificial Intelligence (AI) related areas covered through the entrepreneurial degrees on the campus. The module also contributes to the development of the English language and study skills of students within the context of the programmes offered by the School.

Learning outcomes

A.Have a basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and entrepreneurship within Taicang Campus.

Method of teaching and learning

The course is delivered through lectures and demonstration (simulated videos, display of equipment, illustration, visualisation, etc.) of AI application taught by Taicang specialists in each area. The module will follow an academic literacies approach and some seminars may be co-taught by staff from the English Language Centre, who will use activities to further develop the English language skills of students within the context of the module. Students may also be provided with online language/study skills support from the English Language Centre (ELC) to help them engage with module content. Language and skills needed to succeed in the module will be combined with the course content to ensure successful student engagement with the module. Technology will be an important part of the module with materials available before each session, and student discussion groups running after each lecture/seminar to ensure continual engagement and contribution.
