Aims and Fit of Module

This module is designed to empower students to engage in collaborative problem-solving with industry schools and partners as part of their final year project. It facilitates the practical application of entrepreneurial tools and concepts. The module integrates technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship and aims to: 1) Provide students with a flexible opportunity to craft an original response to a multidisciplinary challenge. 2) Enhance students' entrepreneurial competencies by developing their presentation and pitching skills, problem-solving abilities, and soft skill. 3) Foster effective teamwork and collaboration among students, enabling them to work cohesively in diverse teams. 4) Cultivate a strong entrepreneurial identity in students by focusing on brand identity development and storytelling.

Learning outcomes

A Confidently and persuasively present business ideas and products, showcasing their innovation and entrepreneurship concepts at a professional level. Method of teaching and learning

This module is integral to contemporary entrepreneurial education within XJTLU Entrepreneur College's (XEC) Industry Schools. Rooted in Syntegrative Education, the teaching methodology is centered on supporting students in Syntegrative projects within a studio setting. The approach emphasizes hands-on practicals, seamlessly combining lectures and coaching projects, fostering project-based learning and cross-disciplinary collaboration among XEC Industry Schools and industry partners. Functioning as a collaborative space, the module provides students with a unique opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges, engaging in problem-based assessments. Industry experts actively participate, enriching students' projects and nurturing critical thinking skills crucial for innovative problem-solving in diverse industry contexts. This methodology not only cultivates an inclusive and dynamic learning environment but also equips students with holistic skills necessary for success in multifaceted industries. Evaluation will be based on group project work, incorporating individual grading in accordance with the university's policy. This comprehensive approach aligns with our commitment to delivering a practical, well-rounded educational experience.
