Aims and Fit of Module

This course delves into the intersection of large language models (LLMs) and digital finance analytics. It focuses on how advanced artificial intelligence analytics techniques are reshaping financial markets, improving decision-making, and enhancing predictive capabilities. Students will gain hands-on experience in leveraging LLMs for financial analytics and explore practical applications of these models in the finance sector.

Learning outcomes

A. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of how digitalization is transforming the finance sector and develop a critical awareness of contemporary issues associated with financial sector digitalization. B. Demonstate a fundamental understanding of relevant artificial intelligence techniques and textual analysis, as well as large language models. C. Show originality in applying knowledge to financial market digitalization and master both quantitative and qualitative tools to analyze real-world finance challenges.

Method of teaching and learning

It consists of weekly lectures and seminars. Students will learn basic concepts from weekly lectures and highly practical skills from weekly seminars. In each week, they will be able to apply the basic concepts to analyze real-world cases in the tutorials.
