Aims and Fit of Module

This module aims to provide theories and techniques to students who wish to further develop their long-term employability. This module provides both theoretical introduction and practical skills to enhance multiple employer-desired transferable skills depending on job market trends and recent research results. This module also facilitates students’ reflection on their experience to enhance the understanding of their developmental needs, make improvements to their employability development plan, and develop an awareness of the value of lifelong learning for their continuous employability development. This module is highly practical and interactive overarched by the concept of student employability development.

Learning outcomes

A Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of employability development on career development through experiences such as study, extra-curriculum activities, , internship, employment, or project work. B Demonstrate the formation of a good employability enhancement plan for future career development. C Develop an awareness of the value of lifelong learning to continuous employability development.

Method of teaching and learning

Online and/or on-site seminars will be arranged. In-session activities will integrate students’ industrial experience into the session delivery design.
