To provide students with fundamental knowledge in pharmacology, in particular, the druggable candidate’s mechanism and properties during the drug discovery, and the effectiveness, safety and adverse nature of approved drugs.
A Understand the common terms and fundamentals of pharmacology B Evaluate potential druggable candidates’ pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics (ADME) properties C Fully understand the nature and sources of approved drugs, including mechanism of actions, effectiveness and adverse effects.
Course content will be delivered by standard lectures, tutorials and two field trips to local R&D pharma or CRO for preclinical services.
