The module introduces the mutually-challenging relationships between architecture and advanced technology which have characterised architecture and construction throughout history. It examines and explores case studies of architectural impetus on technological innovation, as well as case studies of advanced technology applications in the design, representation, evaluation, project management, construction and operation of architectural projects.
A.Develop computational design strategies that relate construction, structure, services and materials to spatial and human conditions, and building user’s requirements.
B. Design key elements, components and assemblies and integrate them into architectural design proposals, taking into account use of materials, constructional technologies, structure, environment and services.
C. Present an environmental impact assessment for a building or infrastructure proposal.
D. Manage occupant comfort in buildings and the building-occupant interaction.
