This module examines our relationship with both the physical world and the realm of technology within the context of live performance. A central focus will be on critically analyzing how the real and technological worlds interact to shape our perceptions. The curriculum is crafted to be both experimental and collaborative, inspiring students to apply theatrical performance principles in a multidisciplinary manner. This approach encompasses a wide range of possibilities, including the integration of interactive technological elements into live performances.
A. Demonstrate the ability to identify how performance techniques are used within a number of technological contexts
B. Propose a short project utilizing performance within a chosen technological context
C. Work with an actor/performer to organize and elicit a performance, through staging, action and character choices within a technology driven project

The teaching sessions are divided into four components (Lectures, Seminars, Tutorials and Labs). A series of lectures will examine the principles of immersive experiences in performance. Students will investigate both the conceptual and practical dimensions of live performance, focusing on its relationship with various technologies. Seminars will provide a platform for students to present their ideas and engage in meaningful discussions on various topics. Tutorials will offer personalized one-on-one time, helping students to refine and develop their projects. Labs will focus on exploring performative elements of the body and its relationship with technology, environment and the other.
