This module aims to allow the student to:
Negotiate a senior role within a major piece of project work and cement their knowledge of their craft by working toward the completion of a project based within the entertainment industries.
Manage advanced safe and healthy practices.
Reflect on their role within the project and offer a clear and concise evaluation of their skills.
Research and evidence a developed understanding of their craft skills.
A. Demonstrate a professional-level competence in technical, artistic, and commercial aspects of their field through a short project, focusing on the cultural industry. B. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within the context of a project, gaining a comprehensive understanding of project dynamics and develop the versatility required in professional settings. C. Deliver an advanced level of creative work, encouraging them to innovate and push artistic boundaries, developing a deep understanding of their creative potential and effective communication to diverse audiences. D. Developing critical evaluation skills by analyzing their work within reflective, historical, and conceptual contexts, gaining insights to refine their skills and approaches.
The teaching sessions are divided into a number of components.
A series of lectures will provide the provide the historical and conceptual background to understand the project parameters
The practical workshops will focus on practical techniques and grammar from a professional discipline stand point, effective team management within a project environment and advanced application of skills within practical exercises and project tests.
Seminars will focus on reviewing work in progress.
