This module is a doctoral-level ideological and political theory course designed for mainland Chinese PhD students. It aims to equip doctoral candidates from diverse disciplinary backgrounds with theoretical frameworks and analytical approaches rooted in Contemporary Chinese Marxism and 21st-century Marxism, enabling them to understand, analyze, and interpret major issues concerning China and the world. As a postgraduate public course with broad thematic coverage, the module emphasises Chinese characteristics, a global perspective, and a strong sense of contemporary responsibility. The course adopts a problem-oriented approach, strengthening students’ awareness of real-world issues and enhancing their capacity for critical analysis and problem-solving. 本课程是博士生思想政治理论课。作为一门内容涉及广泛，又要求体现中国特色、世界视野和时代情怀的研究生公共课，本课程致力于为不同专业门类的博士生提供运用当代中国马克思主义、21世纪马克思主义了解、分析和阐发中国与世界各种问题的方法及思考。在当代中国与世界的关系已经发生历史性变化的时代条件下，我国青年必须站在准备把握中国与世界全新关系的高度，从时代潮流和时代要求上确立自己的时代使命，特别是运用马克思主义的立场、观点和方法进行观察、理解和思考。本课程围绕博士研究生的理论需求，坚持问题导向，强化问题意识，致力于提高博士研究生分析问题和解决问题的能力，坚定马克思主义的信仰，中国特色社会主义的信念，实现中华民族伟大复兴中国梦的信心。

The course is delivered online via the MOOC platform and consists of high-quality recorded lectures produced by faculty members of Fudan University. It is designed to accommodate diverse learning needs and flexible study schedules. Online quiz after lectures will be carried out to evaluate students’ progress and achievement of the learning outcomes. Students will have 2 opportunities to take the quiz, and the higher score will be used for grading. The course aims to equip mainland Chinese doctoral students at XJTLU with methodological approaches and analytical perspectives grounded in Contemporary Chinese Marxism and 21st-century Marxism, enabling them to understand, analyze, and articulate a wide range of issues concerning China and the world. 该课程通过中国大学MOOC平台线上进行，是由复旦大学教师录制的精品课程，适合各类学习需求和时间安排。学生需在学期结束前完成所有线上课程学习（占总成绩的40%），并进行线上期末考试（两次机会，取高分进行记分，占总成绩的60%），以检验学习效果。本课程旨在面向西浦大陆籍博士，帮助他们学习运用当代中国马克思主义、21世纪马克思主义了解、分析和阐发中国与世界各种问题的方法及思考。
