The aim of this module is to:
Introduce students to the different education systems in the Asia-Pacific region for a critical comparison for similarities and differences, at the macro, institutional and stakeholder level
A. Critically assess the different education systems within the Asian-Pacific region
B. Identify strengths and weaknesses of global education policy and practices at a number of levels within the region
C. Develop and sustain a detailed coherent analysis of the education systems within distinct parts of the Asian-Pacific region
The teaching sessions are interactive and divided into two components: lectures and seminars. The seminars will build on the material covered in the lectures, going into more details on the cases studied.
